It took all of 10 seconds to install this, and fixed an old seal that was torn allowing water to leak around the vent pipe. Perfect.

Just found a little roof leak several days ago. Ordered them and received in 3 days. Climbed up to the roof and locate the vent pipe flashing. Used knife to trim one collar inside-hole a little bit bigger (1.8 inches), and fit onto the pipe without problem. Applied some caulk and it will last years.

These are pretty simple to install. Last time I was in my attic I saw some daylight around one of my vents. Not a good thing if you want to keep water out. I got these and they work great. They simply slide over top of which you already have. Usually the area of failure is the collar that fits around the vent pipe. You don't have to cover the whole boot you just have to cover that little area tightly. This slides right down over the pipe, fits tightly and keeps the water from going down any old openings in your boot. This is a lot less expensive than having somebody come to your house to repair the entire boot and put a new one on. If you're able to handle the idea that you're not replacing the entire boot and you're doing a patch repair that will work just as good then this is a great way to fix your roof boots inexpensively.
