Couldn't use it because it doesn't fit in drill chuck. Its like few millimeter bigger than drill chuck but smaller than the next size up.

REVIEW: 14pack Diamond Polishing Pad, Diamond Sanding Pads with 12PCS Wet/Dry Polish Pad Set for Drill Grinder Polisher 50-8000 Grit Pads for Granite Marble Stone Concrete Countertop PolishingThis is a full and complete set of polishing pads. In fact, I don't think I have ever used anything over 2000 grit before this. The set goes up to 8000 grit and produces a beautiful finish. I used mine on a polishing tool I have, but they work on orbital sanders and other tools as well, as shown in their product photos.The pads are easy to change using a simple hook and loop attachment. The set comes complete with all the needed attachments to get going, the foam wheel, the nut to attach it and the polishing pads. The polishing pads come labeled with the grit number on them and makes finding them easy.These pads work great, I shined up a replacement piece in my bathroom that had broken, then decided to do the whole bathroom countertop.I can't see how this set can go wrong. I really like how the counter looks now!

In the interests of full disclosure, I do not use these polishing pads in the conventional manner. I use them to polish rocks, not for smoothing countertops, floors, etc... Therefore, my review is from that perspective.That being said, these diamond discs are exactly like all of the other ones out there for sale on Amazon. They are made of the same material, and perform similarly. The difference being not only the vendor/ manufacturer, but the quality and durability of the backing pad. Unfortunately, the backing pad that I received was warped, which causes the drill to spin off-axis and makes it very difficult, if not impossible to use. However, after coaxing out some of the warped areas it performed adequately.Another drawback to this product is the lack of initial abrasion on the pads. Out of the box, there are no exposed Diamond surfaces (they are lurking just below the surface). To achieve the desired results you must first scuff up the surface of the disc to remove the manufacturing material and expose the diamond cut surface. I do this by grinding against the sharp edge of a hard stone. I've also used a bastard file to achieve the same result. Once the cut surface is exposed, the pads work just like all of the others out there. The true test comes in their longevity. Now, truth be told, the longevity of these pads depends a lot on how they are treated and cared for by the user. Nothing will ruin these pads faster than heat. Heat is caused by the friction of the diamonds against the material that you are sanding. As suggested by the manufacturer, water should be used during the sanding process. The water not only keeps the work piece clean and free of dust, but it also keeps the cutting surface cool... which extends the life of the diamonds.Also, I would have liked to have seen a few more grit levels, which would have made the polishing process a little easier and the results would have been better.I would have given this product five stars if the following conditions would have been met.1.) The backing pad would have been flat.2.) The surface of the sanding pads would have arrived deglazed and ready to use.Overall, there's nothing really bad about these pads, but there's nothing really great about them either. They are a middle-of-the-road product, with a decent pricepoint. No frills, but with a little effort, they'll do what you need them to do—for the most part.

I have waited a while to do this review to grab a piece of scrap granite backsplash to try it. I used my tile saw to cut one end of the polished side off. I started with the 50 grit and went through the rest of them in sequence with a drill and it worked very slowly but would work in a pinch. Next I changed to a air grinder with a chuck. I found that the extra rpm's from this set up worked much quicker. The first test was done dry and the next was to use water. Filled a soda bottle with water and drilled a 1/64" hole in the middle of the cap. This method worked the best and greatly reduced the time taken to get a decent result. All in all not bad for an occasional polish but not a real quick polish if that's what you're looking for.

I ordered these Polishing Pads for a project that I had in mind. That same afternoon, my neighbor told me about a project he was working on: a shower with concrete walls. He stated that he was going to go into town to buy some polishing pads.I offered him mine so he could keep working without wasting one hour and a half for a round trip to town.I stopped by to see how my neighbor’s shower project was getting along. I saw how much fun, and how impressed he was using these pads.They worked great, creating a smooth concrete surface very quickly. He stated that he was not used to polishing concrete so quickly and that he inadvertently removed too much material, and had to patch it up with more concrete.This was his fault, and not that of the polishing pads. He should have switched over to a finer grit pad. He just kept on working with the higher grit pad instead.Overall he was amazed with the results. He wanted the entire set for himself to complete the shower job. Now he’s on another project. Guess I will have to repurchase polishing pads for myself. My neighbor said they are awesome!

I didn't intend to use these for countertops but rather other large stones. Feeling them, they all felt the same. They need to be used a bit first until it wears down to the actual diamond bits. That was more work than I had expected. The drill conversation screw worked well for the standard size drill except that it unscrewed itself every time the drill stopped spinning. The grit Sizes are just right for a super smooth finish.
