I purchased this rectifier because, expecting the Corro-Protec CP-R Water Heater Powered Titanium Anode Rod to last quite a few years, I wanted an extra rectifier on hand just in case. The anode rod really lives-up to its stated claims and has solved the seemingly unsolvable problem of a strong sulfur smell in the hot water along with the added perk of extending the life of my hot water tank. So, I now have an extra rectifier on-hand so, if needed, there will be no delay in replacing it.
