I let my VX-6R radio sit to long unused and the original battery died. I have read about non Yaesu replacements not fitting right, not holding a charge or low capacity. I don't seem to be have any of those issues with this battery. It fits the same as the original, maybe slightly tighter but I account that to a new seal. Charges to 8.3 volts. I can't comment on capacity, as I have only used this radio intermittingly for short periods of time. I will consider buying a second one as a spare.

I haven't had the battery long enough to fully review it's longevity. It fits perfectly and feels solid. I would buy this again.

So far no complaints. Replaced my 20 year old original VX5 battery and it seems to hold it's charge just as well... no empirical tests but all I can say so far is it works. I'll be amazed if it lasts ¼ as long as the original did. ;-)

Bought it June 2024. It now Jan 2025 and it won't charge. I guess you get what you pay for. Going to find a factory battery and purchase it. This is the first time I've had a problem with a after market product.
