This jerky gun kit has everything that you need to get started. I appreciate that it has five different nozzles to choose from for various needs. I haven't had a chance to use the nozzles for making sausage, but I see no reason why they wouldn't work as well as the nozzles I used for beef jerky.It does take a bit of effort to squeeze out the meat, but the nozzles form the meat into the perfect size and shape for beef jerky. I found that the nozzles that form the thinner slices of jerky work best, as the meat holds together better before dehydrating. You'll want to make sure that you pack the meat in tightly so that there are no gaps or air bubbles, as this will affect how well/consistent the meat comes out.The only real pain point that I have with the jerky gun is that it's not easy to clean. You can take the entire jerky gun apart, which does help, but even then there are crevices that are more difficult to clean. This isn't a huge dealbreaker if you're planning on doing a bunch of jerky all at once, but it is tedious to clean when you're done. I do recommend using the jerky gun to do a big batch of jerky (or sausage) as it will help justify the more laborious process of cleaning the jerky gun afterwards, and give you a decent amount of beef jerky to snack on for a bit.

This is a requested gift from my son. We are hunters and we make jerky every year. This year he wanted to amp it up. Obviously I did not open but know it will make our/his job easier.
