It is true the product description says you *can* store a spare point under the cap. It just doesn't come with a spare point. The point was shipped under the cap. Out of the box the point is missing, so unscrew the cap to find it. You will also need to purchase a Gammon Reel or braided survey string to use it, since there is no string included.
