Up until a week ago I’d never heard of a rivnut. But it was just what I needed. Fairly easy to use, just watch some YouTube videos. This tool came with a nice case and storage containers for all but the larger rivnuts. The tool looks like all the other ones, except this one is red. The 16 inch is the way to go as you’ll need the leverage for the larger rivnuts. The smaller rivnuts don’t take much effort, so don’t over do it or you might break the mandrel. There’s a meter built in to the tool but I haven’t figured out how to calibrate it to zero when closed. Depending on how far you open the handles up, and the size of the rivnut, you don’t necessarily have to close the handles all the way. Take 15 minutes and get the feel of it using some scrap metal. I love this tool. I can see it being very handy and it does cost an arm and leg. Build quality seems good.

It was easy to use and it crimped the grommets with ease. The tool is very strong and is made from heavy thick steel.

After researching different tools I went with this one because it comes with case and lots of accessories. I had a project where I needed to use M6 rivet nuts. This did the trick like others said don't always squeeze handle all the way every time you use it. Adjust your force for the thickness of material you are going into and size rivet nut/mandrel. Larger mandrel can take more force. No issues so far and I like it does have 2 year warranty, but hopefully I won't ever need it.

The only reason it's not getting 5 stars is due to obviously horrible quality control. There was a pin missing out of one of the handles upon arrival, and it couldn't have fallen out due to disassembly being required to replace the pin. Luckily, the pin was easily replaced and it now works flawlessly. A friend liked this one so much that he ordered one from the same seller. His arrived intact and functional. It's easy to setup, and even easier to use. The case and selection of mandrels is the reason I chose this one. The case is doing 1 1/2 years in and still keeping everything in place, even when upside-down.

I’m very happy with this purchase. The tool feels quite solid and the kit it comes with is more than impressive for the price. I’ve used it several times and have zero complaints. Definitely recommend this kit.

It is easy to use and a good value. The depth of squeeze qauge is interesting but so far I haven't used it, one complete lever compress is enough. I've used it on metal doors and it works well.

this gun had absolutely no issue installing steel rivets in my license plate holes on my porsche cayenne. I had rusted license plate rivets that were not allowing me to screw in my license plate. I purchased new steel rivets from the car dealer, screwed on the M6 mandrel, then screwed the steel rivet onto the M6 mandrel, stuck it in the hole, squeezed the handles together, and VOILA! Done in 2 seconds, and the rivets are in there as snug as the factory ones i removed were. This rivet gun did it with ease! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
