Hand rivet guns are ok for small stuff, but I needed industrial strength for trailer and other repairs. Works smooth as silk.

If you have more than just a few pop rivets to set, you owe it to yourself to buy one of these. Other than one small issue, it makes projects go so much faster and easier... yeah, almost fun!That issue is that it's sometimes difficult to dislodge the rivet shaft after popping one. If your work is level, the shaft usually partially ejects itself as one would expect. If you're working at an angle or upside down, the shaft wants to stay in the receiver. Not a big issue at all, but just a bit aggravating.

I did not know if there were extra parts or if I had to disassemble and reassemble with the springs etc

Right out of the box it’s set up to work, I just had to attach the adapter for the air hose. I’m using it for a project that requires over 300 rivets and certainly don’t want to be doing that manually. I tested it for several rivets and it worked flawlessly. In a few day I’ll see if it holds up to the job.
