I have a cub cadet zt1 54 with the 7000 engine. Ots less than a year old and was stalling out after 20 min of mowing. All the research I did said the carb needed to be rebuilt and I didn't want to wait 6 weeks for the warranty service to fix things so this was a nice cheap solution. Easy to install and fixed my issue.

I purchased the kit to do a complete tune up. The first thing I did was replace the spark plugs. I tried to start but it would not run. I removed the plugs and checked for spark. Neither of the 2 spark plugs would fire. I then inspected them. 1of the plugs had a very large gap. I inspected a the tip that should fire was much shorter then normal. There was no way to gap it correctly. I then tested with an ohm meter . Both tested at 1000 ohms and should be between 4 and 5 thousand. I then purchased a set of correct plugs and installed. It started in less than 2 seconds. I then decided since the plugs were manufactured as they could never work, I would not install any of the other items in the kit. I compared the parts to the oem parts and just by looking at them I knew I would be better off to just clean the carburetor and not replace the fuel pump. My lawn tractor now runs like new. I am just glad I installed the plugs first and tested. If I would have replaced all of the parts in the kit and when it would not start , I would have had to spend hours trying to get it to run with no success. I would not buy this kit again

The carburator was not exactly the same as the one on my Kohler engine on my Gravely HD60 mower. The air filter is also not exactly the same, but seems to work. The starter also appears to work. Unfortunately, I had to cannibalize the solenoid off the carburetor. Haven't tried the spark plugs yet but they appear the same.

This carburetor worked as a replacement on my Kohler 7000-series KT715-3047. [note: for this engine, check your ignition modules/coils first, because they apparently can be problematic on these engines; it would have saved me a lot of time and money spent on trouble-shooting the fuel system!] The provided fuel filter is a joke, and it makes me question the quality of the carburetor. The two provided gaskets don't match exactly to the OEM gaskets, but they fit and worked fine. I trimmed the inside of the air intake gasket to match the OEM gasket, so as not to restrict airflow - but it is probably OK as is. The kit includes a throttle limiting screw, which you need to attach (it just screws all the way in), as well as a smaller socket head screw that the OEM carb did not use, as well as a small pin that also was not part of the OEM carb. There are no instructions provided to describe what the screws and pin are for. Fortunately, though, the idle adjustment screw was pre-installed and did not need to be adjusted. Also, the small limiting pin on the choke was not so long as to interfere, as several other people have mentioned - so they must have fixed that issue.
