Note that these units require the backlite to be powered up to be able to see the alpha/numeric displays. Not a problem, unless you are going to run these units on a 9 Volt battery. Power drain of the Arduino Nano and the LCD backlight measures 45 MilliAmperes.

Display is as described. Requires user to solder pin headers to unit. Will need to research wiring instructions / directions. The backlight eats up a lot of power. I was using a 9 volt battery and it was drained in only a few hours of constant use. I am now using a 5 volt wall adapter to power the Arduino project, so problem solved.

I was looking for a 20 x 4 display that had no I2C module attached. It seems like most manufacturers are soldering the I2C board onto this type of display so it is becoming harder to find ones with it. This was perfect.The product works as it should.

I purchased a kit for testing IC's and needed a 20X4 display but I bought a serial display and was not ableto use it. So I found this display and it was perfect.

This panel comes in an ESD bag. The quality looks good, with clean solder joints. It is easy to use with an Arduino Uno but you will probably need to lookup instructions since this doesn’t come with any. There are plenty of example projects to get you started. Overall this is a nice compliment to your Arduino or Pi project.

Good size display: 16 characters by 2 lines. Nice white letters on a blue background. Perfect for the electronic hobbyist.if you are looking to add some displays to your project, these are a very good choice.

Research how to connect and program for your Arduino or Pi board.2 provided.I have one providing output for a program on a Raspberry Pi 3, and I’m pleased with it so far.

Die beiden LCD2004-Displays werden in einem kleinen Karton geliefert, der mit Luftpolsterfolie geschützt ist. Es handelt sich um "blanke" Module, also ohne Pin-Header, Anschlusskabel et cetera.Ich habe das das Display unter Verwendung eines I2C-Moduls angeschlossen. Dieses vereinfacht die Verkabelung erheblich, da nur noch vier Verbindungen (VCC, GND, SDA und SCL) erforderlich sind. Das Modul ist auf Amazon sehr günstig erhältlich. In der Arduino IDE muss die enstprechende Libary eingebunden werden.Mit dieser Lösung war das Display schnell am Laufen. Die Hintergrundhelligkeit kann mit dem integrierten Potentiometer des I2C-Moduls eingestellt werden.Die LCD2004-Displays sind qualitativ hochwertige Module, die zu einem günstigen Preis angeboten werden (ca 15 Euro zum Testzeitpunkt). Aufgrund des guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses des Zweiersets gibts trotzdem die Bestnote.
