Perfect for lightweight backpacking.Nearly weightless, yet dense enough to offer that just right amount of padding between you and the rocks while insolating against the cold ground.

Cheaper and as good as the gossamer gear pad

Put it under your inflatable sleeping pad for extra protection, cushion and insulation by placing under your pad or place under a single person tent and it can also as protection to the tent floor as well as the pad Use as structure or back panel for a frameless backpack. Fold over for sit pad. Use as a lounge to sit on ground outside your tent. Sort gear on it to keep gear out of dirt. Consider this a somewhat consumable item will show wear with heavy use some durability sacrificing in design to reduce weight.

I would give 4.5 stars but that’s not an option.Works great but develops holes and rips without noticeable incidence during use.Used it on one trip and has several holes and rips. I don’t recall anytime that any sharp items came near it.It’s destined to become garbage within a season or two.however I used this with my 3 season inflatable mattress during a very cold 2’ Sierra storm over 2 nights and it works excellent with negligible cost and weight. When you consider the alternatives of buying a 250$ inflatable mattress versus using a z rest, it’s not a hard decision to get this. Also, it’s nice to have this on outside of your pack for lunch breaks to sit upon. You don’t need to get out a pad to inflate or anything.

Great for many of the basic foam mat stuff. Lighter and better insulating then a shelf liner or foam pad. I tried to wrap my snowshoes in it to protect my backpack. The spikes popped whole in it. But, it still held up great for glissading down several steep hillsides. I like it so much I'll be getting another for my hiking bubby after she final realizes she is carrying to much weight. I'm thinking about 100 miles in.

The outside elements are pretty harsh on this pad. You'll have scratches, nicks and tears in no time.

This is an all around use. Sit pad, yoga mat, additional protection and warmth for your sleeping pad. A lot of usage for this pad. Glad i purchased it. Worth every single penny.

Male 190 cm/97 kg fits about 3/4 of my sleeping pad, It met all the features in the description, virtually no weight, does not absorb water, stops the sliding around in the tent, and adds a bit of comfort to my sleep system.
