I don't know when it goes into pressure and the manual is not specific. By the way, I don't find it any faster at 100 than an 80kpa pot I had before. Not specific about steaming either, e.g. water level.

This is so heavy! And the way lid locks in, it looks like a pot from the future! Lol. A gimmick though.However, buildwise, this pressure cooker is solid. You will definitely feel the quality. The lid feels as heavy as the pot itself. Haven’t tried but hopefully will update the review once we give it a go.

I made some beef strew using this pot and the meat was so tender and cut my cooking time by half. The pot seems to be very durable and retained heat very well. I will be using it a lot for my cooking.
