The 18-8 stainless steel small pattern machine screw hex nut has a plain finish. The nut has a small pattern design, meaning it is narrower than a standard machine screw hex nut for use in areas with limited space. It has six flat sides that a wrench can grip to turn from the side, enabling use when there is no space above the nut. The 18-8 stainless steel material provides strength and offers good corrosion resistance in many environments. The material may be slightly magnetic.
Nuts are internally threaded fasteners that are used with bolts and threaded rods and studs to connect components. Several different nut styles fit a variety of application and installation requirements. Some styles, such as hex nuts, acorn nuts, flange nuts, and coupling nuts, must be tightened with a tool. Others, such as eye nuts, thumb nuts, and wing nuts, can be tightened by hand. These were the perfect size for my needs. The 100 pack is about 80 more than I'll use before the end of 2023, but that's ok. Those will go in a labeled bin for next time I need 18-8 nuts on a project. Since they're stainless I don't have to worry about my furry friends running off with any either.

I got a great deal on a pair of fishman fluence classics (if you know, you know) but they were direct mounted with the mounting holes drilled out and I needed to mount them with pickup rings. After doing some research I bought these and used the same size diameter machine screws (2" IIRC) that come with most Seymour Duncan pickups and these fit perfectly. I've seen people solder them onto the tabs of the pickups but I didn't do that. I sandwiched the tabs with a pair of these nuts on each side. I included a pair of pictures as an example of how to use these for this modification. Keep in mind that the pictured humbucker isn't drilled out, and doesn't need this mod, it's only an example.

Nice chrome like polished finish, not just a raw SS dullness.Pretty accurate threads as the nut does not wobble on a tap like some of a lesser quality tend to do.

I just got these nuts and being excited olwill order more immediately! For my project (small robot) these nuts are best of the best I could find on the market.
