Growing up in Louisiana, I know that the only way to cook gumbo is in a Magnalite pot. Well, those are now pricey as their value has skyrocketed on the second hand market. We bought this for our larger gumbo and jambalaya cooks after suffering sticker shock on the used Magnalites. The Cajun Classic quality is definitely up to snuff with that! Highly recommend. I saw other reviews that mentioned gaps between the lid and pot, but I sits even and perfectly.

Well packaged and delivered in a timely manner. Expected a Cajun Classic brand on the box when I opened it. However, it turned out to be “McWareâ€. Either way the 18†pot I purchased was high quality and made in Mamou, LA. Being I’m from Louisiana this made me even more proud to own. The first pot of gumbo I made turned out great. Looking forward to many more with this pot.

This thing is huge. I can even fit my girlgriend in it (see pic). This is the real deal. There isn’t a south Louisiana cajun that hasen’t eaten a gumbo, turducken or nutria made in a pot like this. Perfect if you have a microwave above the stove like I unfortunately have and still like to feed all the Boudreauxs on the block cher!

This product looks very nice but is not a quality item . The poorly fitting lid is laughable and the coarse bottom of the interior is cheaply unfinished . I feel cheated and misled .

Loved it. All purpose double burner Dutch oven. Great for pot roasts or stews. You can even cook your Thanks Giving turkey in it. A lifetime investment. The Start of family tradition.
