This is so much better than one I have had for a number of years. Stronger, and a better shape. Works well to get the blanket weed off the pond.

The plastic around the screw fitting that attaches to the net broke after 2 uses of the pole. Now I have to buy a new pole. Poor quality!

I purchased this rod along with a net to skim my pond. It worked perfectly for a few days then the locking device for extending the rod failed. Inadequately glued. I re-glued but within a day, the collar that holds the net split probably due the the glue failing. Re-glued and secured with zip ties. Looks the part but very poorly constructed.

There are 2 tubes that slide, one within the other. If you extend the pole to its maximum length (1.8m) then the two tubes do not overlap and the join is dependent on the plastic sleeve that holds them together. The plastic sleeve is not strong and it snapped the first time that I tried to lift a net full of slime from our pond. The pole should have a warning that it should not be fully extended but used with an overlap of at least 6" (15cm) between the two tubes. I drilled and then bolted the two tubes together so that my pole can no longer be adjusted in length - but at least it is now strong. Derfinitely only one star.
