These work well. A bit of a pain to put on as the hooks are smaller (hint, use pliers and "bend" the spring as you install and the hooks will snap into place). Keep my tractor chains under good tension so no slips yet.

Chain tensioners arrived in record time and installed easily. However, as others have mentioned the hooks were a bit on the small side and had to be opened up using pliers. No big deal in the end, but kept me from giving it 5 stars.

Chain tightners work great with tires that are 26x11r12.

The design was good but added a 3/16 S hook to each spring to allow easy attachment to the tire chain. This change also allowed a better fit so that the tension was appropriate for the diameter of my wheel.

These do not fit the 20 X 8-8 Lawn Tractor tires , with Peerless Lawn Garden Tractor Tire Chains , That I have on my Craftsman DYT Lawn Tractor .. They are sagging down and No tension on the chairs at all .Do Not Buy If You Have a LawnTractor with Snoblower ..

Don't know what other reviews I read before buying were based on,I had no issues to install,chains on my kubota bx tractor rear wheels,had previously used the rubber _plastic clip type,rotted and broke in less than 1 yr,even though my tractor is stored indoors away from uv light,and they were not cheap,am hoping these stainless steel ones will serve longer.buy again,Def yes,!will be purchasing spare set,can't beat metal as opposed to rubber and plastic,to all the guys writing reviews,stop trashing products that you have made mistake in researching,read the sizing,and you won't have issues.for me ,worked perfect!

As per other reviews, the hooks must be spread open a bit to fit on the tire chain. They are stiff to spread open. I used a bench vise & a pair of pliers. I wished the supplier would show what wheel sizes they fit. They were a snug fit for a 23/10.5x12 tire. They did what they were supposed to. No more losing a tire chain.

Not really right size for john deer tires. Have lawn tractor with blower. Bit big for sire but good quality

Openings at the ends of the springs should be slightly larger to fit around most chains
