I bought these for a planned trip onto the Idaho backcountry. Made it about 30 miles before the mud and snow sucked me off the trail and threatened to take me all the way down the hill. These bad boys worked a treat to get me out.I like the fact that these can be rolled or folded and will fit in more compact spaces than large rigid boards.Tips: the spikes go down, towards the ground. If you only have 1 pair, use them with whichever two tires have the least traction. Don't just floor it. Try to crawl out slowly if you can. Spinning tires excessively could damage the mats.

After getting our RV stuck in the mud at a small campground and without a shovel or anything to put underneath the tires to try to get better traction, I vowed that would never happen again! This tool kit comes with two traction pads made of sturdy composite material to support the weight of your vehicle and has grip designed onto the pads to assist with traction. Can be used individually or placed end to end to make a longer travel path whenever you may be stuck in the snow or mud. Washable and can be hosed off easily. Both pads fold up easily. Comes with storage bag also.

(2022) alright, year 2, now we're in iowa. i still have my old pair which was unfortunately slightly damaged because one of my coworkers thought it would work better to turn off traction control, turns out it just melts them KEEP TC ON. that being said so far this year i personally have "rescued" 3 of our own company vans using these and believe it or not a ups-style "package car" belonging to speedee (shipping company) he has somehow smashed through a fence and got stuck in a corn field, the snow was about a foot deep, give or take a few inches. i'd be lying if i said it didn't take a while, it took a good 30 minutes to get him out of there but we did it. never going anywhere without these things(2021)-for context, i work for an international delivery company, i specifically work in the illinois area, simply put i got stuck at the top of a hill, threw these things underneath and boom, got right back on my waycalled my boss immediately after to tell him how they worked, got back to the shop as he was going to rescue more of our vans that were either stuck or in the ditch, let him borrow my pair, he never once had to hook up a tow strap or call a tow truck, these things did all the grunt work, and he is now seriously considering buying a pair for every van in our fleetso far they have gotten 4 vans out of the ditch, and 2 unstuck, very very impressed

I bought these to use off-roading in deep snow (2'). They work ok, but the tires grab them, shoot them right under the tire, and leave them in a folded up little pile that gets berried in snow. I'm driving in snow that is too deep to get to hard ground, these do not seam like they are meant to grab snow.

I only tested on thin sand & I like the way it is designed & built. Wish I could get this before I went to snow summit few weeks ago. Now I'm ready. Good choice for money.

Got my truck stuff in the yard after rain two days before. Ordered these for next day delivery and it DID help get the truck out. They don’t quite have enough grippy things to really do a great job but did the trick this time. Used them again two weeks later and had the cable that runs between all the little slats break on both of them. One at the handle and one in the middle between two slats. They were the cheapest model I could find to get next day, so at least they worked for what it was worth. Does come with a nice carrying bag, which made carrying them nice and east.

My daughter lives on a steep hill in Canada. These tracks have been super useful during our snowy Canadian winters. She feels safer knowing she has these quality heavy tracks with her when she drives. I highly recommend them!

This product is to carry in my car so if I get stuck in snow (which we have lots of), I can get myself out.I've been stuck twice this month in a sudden storm and it was not pleasant.

I purchased these for my camper van (GVW approx 9000 lb), hoping they would prevent my van from sinking in the soft ground at my favourite campsite in early May. The sites don't have much gravel, and I've had problems in the spring (only) requiring a tow out of the mud. This year, I went prepared with my own tow rope, and 4 of these traction pads, which I parked on. It's the first time I've avoided sinking in mud or having to park in the store parking area. The pads easily handled the weight of the van, and I was able to drive off them each morning, and they were simple to pick up and store in the bag provided. Other campers were not so lucky, and a tractor had to pull out a pickup with a light trailer,as well as several other campers, when they were unable to be rescued with a pickup and tow rope. In fairness, I did get stuck in the mud navigating through the campground road, and I was unable to manoeuvre the traction pads into a good position, as the wheel had sunk in several inches and the angle for the pads was too steep. My husband and I will make sure we each have a set when driving in our Canadian winters, as they should perform well in many snow or ice conditions. Hopefully we will never have to use them. Oh, and the campground is planning to stock a couple of sets to help out other campers if needed. Great product. cheaper than a two. And faster than waiting for one.

Had my Tacoma in 4 feet of snow and these tracks worked very well . Seem to be well constructed and easy to use. Would like to see bigger spikes on the bottom but overall good value
