I appreciate that the bar has a texture to it - like a powder coating or somethign. The wall attachments are connected tot he handrail with two machine screws each and feel sturdy, and the wall attachments for each have 4 screws each, and the set comes with 2" screws with drywall anchors - I'm not sure I'd trust drywall to support the claimed weight support that this bar can hold, but if I can find a 2x4 stud to mount to, that seems more promising. I may mount some kind of 4x4x0.5 plywood piece to a stud with 2-3 screws, and then mount this handrail bracket to the plywood for better certainty that it will hold up to weight.
