Doesn't fit my hand-me-down machine BUT its a great bottle; good hand feel and easy open; tight seal; will use as work water bottle and/or for coldbrew.

I did not notice that the particular carafe only worked with specific Soda Stream models. There are different sized bottle openings that work only with certain models, not all are interchangeable. The ones I received did not fit at all on the model I have. Sadly I thought I was reordering my pervious carafe and I wasn't. I think that point should have been more obviously clear in the descriptions to avoid ordering the wrong one. At least the return coverage costs will be taken care of through Amazon. That part I do appreciate.

I’m not sure what kind of glass is used but it is different in workmanship from the original bottles in such a way that causes the CO2 to crash out of solution to early. I’d classify this as a functionality problem and it causes the soda to go flat within a matter of minutes. It ends up just becoming water again. I’m trying to figure out a way to resolve this issue, maybe by chemically etching the glass on the inside? Not sure how we can fix this problem on our own.Other than that, I like the style on the side of the glass and the cap makes it easy to remove the lid and tighten it enough to keep the pressure up. It fits perfectly on the aqua fizz as well. If we didn’t have the problem with nucleation it would be a perfect replacement.

These don't work with the Terra or E-Terra models but I bought an adapter which works perfectly. For when you're too fancy to drink out of plastic or worries about failures in the plastic bottle over time, these are really nice. The caps are knurled for a better feel than the smooth caps on the plastic bottles, and there's the standard dense foam ring in the cap for a really good seal. Definitely recommend these for a higher quality alternative than the OEM plastic bottles, but require adapters for some models.
