I recently had the opportunity to try out the tufting with my husband, I chose this tufting machine since the color of it caught my eyes. I was inspired a bit about tufting from online video, and found a simple pattern for our first tufting carpet, so we cannot wait to start tufting project with it once received the product.The machine exceeded my expectations! It offers a smooth tufting process for us. Threading the gun and adjusting the setting were easy based on the clear instruction which provided by seller, even as a beginner. Overall, tufting was fast to get started and achieve nice results in a few hours depending on the size of project. Considering the performance, build quality, this tufting machine provides excellent value for the price for sure. : ) Will keep updating.

I just started tufting and found this gun easy to use. I like that I can adjust the speed. Also, the hole in the needle is adjustable so I can use thicker yarn if I want. I thought it would be loud and was worried because I live in an apartment, but it's really not that loud. I usually listen to an audio book while tufting and have no problem hearing the book.I also like that it came with a frame and tufting cloth to get me started. The frame is sturdy and well made.

Not great at all. I received my order 1/25/25 I attempted to use it 1/26/25 unfortunately it came with a defective AC/DC converter. I’ve been trying to get n contact with the company so I may exchange it, because Amazon sent me a message stating I would have to get n contact with the company. So no response at all. I just want an exchange not a refund

This was my second tufting gun. The first ended up having every problem you read about on tufting threads. This one, however, is my new ole’ faithful! Shipping was next day so I didnt have any delays in finishing my commissioned rug, and it works beautifully! It came with instructions to access the digital manual, some extra screws and tools (not needed so far).Right out of the box, I put a some 3 in 1 oil on the bars, threaded yarn and got to work!So far I have made five rugs with it to date with zero quality issues. I read about people having regrets with tufting guns from amazon all the time, but this one not only comes at a great price but delivers on performance as well!

Great gun too beginners but be warned how you hold it. From time tim time I have gotten shocked when touching the frame when tufting. Nothing to crazy but something worthy to mention

I held back from writing a review until I got time to break in the AK-1 so, after about a week and a half I have got to say that the quality is incredible. It arrived in a box with an organizer and with a set of Hex keys, spare screws for maintenance and an instruction manual on how to use and clean your tufting gun. This AK-1 also has a light indicator showing you if its ON or OFF as well as a knob to increase the cutting speed. Now keep in mind, this is a CUT PILE and it will leave a mess after you are done tufting so be sure to have acknowledge and clean the mess it will make. As a beginner, I found it incredibly easy to learn how to use and maneuver but it may be challenging at first. One thing I immediately noticed is that this product DOES NOT come with a yarn threader, so, if you are beginning, you’ll need to buy one or find an alternative. For me, I used a bread tie/ twist tie wire and use it to pull the yarn into the scissors. It also DOES NOT come with any cleaning product like oil, lubricant or a brush, so its best to get your hands on some to clean it after every use or before tufting so it wont wear down. Overall, if you are starting out or need a backup cut pile tufting gun, this is an excellent product and would highly recommend. Unfortunately, I could not give this product a 5/5 due to it not having the mandatory items, a yarn threader and/or a cleaning brush.
