I installed this on the bottom of a 5gal pail. I found that I would get leaks just using the threading on the valve. To make this better I bought thru Amazon a brass bulkhead fitting. Brass being much more durable than the plastic threading on the valve felt I could tighten the fitting with more force than could with the threads on the valve. And it worked. The brass bulkhead is firmly attached and is leakproof. The float valve then gets screwed into the brass fitting with some Teflon Tape. If there is a problem with the float valve it’s easy to hot swap a new float valve.

We have a backyard water feature that was overflowing. It turns out the float wasn’t working properly. I replaced it with this one and Voila! No more leaks or overflow problems. It worked like a charm. It was a breeze to install.AND I have a spare for somewhere down the toad if the problem arises again.

I installed this on my dogs water bowl and attached this via a short garden hose to a rain barrel. It work perfectly as an automatic waterer for my outdoor pup. I never have to worry about him going thirsty again. as long as my chickens have water he has water. and it will always be clean cool water. I did have to buy an additional brass fitting to connect this to a garden hose.

J'ai installé cette valve sur un réservoir d'eau alimentant une pompe et un chauffe eau instantané. Efficace et très facile à installé. La valve ferme l'arrivée dès que le réservoir est rempli au niveau désiré.
