This float valve does exactly what I need it to do. It was fairly simple to install. There was a lack of instructions but the picture on the back of the box was pretty self explanatory. It feels very cheaply made. But that is to be expected at the price point. The valve works great. It shuts off the water perfectly when it reaches the top. I did take extra care to install the included thread tape on the intake for the float valve and made sure to insert the included rubber washer. This prevented any leaks from the valve. My horses and I are pleased with this product.

The float works good, but on rocky location cannot get perfectly level. Need to be able to adjust the depth into the tank to offset the unevenness. The water tank over flows slightly on one side.

Tried every combination of using the o-rings and plumbers tape. It still sprays out water where the hose connects no matter what. As far as I can tell there’s no cracks or product damage, it’s just poorly designed.

Tried several rubber washers, and teflon tape on connection and still leaked.Solved leaking by adding water hose ball valve fitting on end of hose. The more defined (NPT) threads on valve with teflon tape on it finally created a leak free connection.The female connection on float valve definitely needs improvement in specifying female NPT threads, not standard water hose threads as noted in other reviews.

Some came broken. But the ones that worked right away still are holding up strong.
