I am in no way an expert on using wire brushes. I don't have a lot of experience with them, so I really don't have a lot to compare to. What I can say is the price for these was what I was willing to spend and after using two of them so far, I have been please with the quality. I used them with a drill to clean up some metal that had rust on it. The wires are still attached and they are continuing to work like I hoped. Would purchase again if needed.

These are a welcome addition to my wire brushes. Drill brushes are often thinner, so this three-quarter inch thickness is better. The 2 inch size helps getting into tight spots. I noticed a few slightly untrimmed wires but this should have no adverse effect except in the most delicate application. This seems a high-quality product.

After using them to remove paint on wood and metal I say: To get material off on the cheap, if the quality of the finish doesn't matter too much, this is a good choice. The wear is faster than on more expensive wire wheels, which probably comes down to the quality of the metal used. So be sure to wear protective gear (always), especially glasses. For the price this is a good deal. Five stars from me. I hope this helps to make a decision.

These are very sturdy with limited flexibility. They are good for rust removal and hold up well. I didn't have as good of luck with them cleaning up welds on stainless as they just weren't flexible enough to get in to the crevices as well as my brass one would, though the low profile of the pinch plates that hold the wires do help with getting them very close to surfaces. Being as wide as they are, you can cover a large surface area pretty fast, which make these better than the ones I've used from the box stores. Overall, they are pretty good, especially for mostly flat surfaces.
