The latch was a perfect fit swap for the old ones that had fallen apart. It works perfectly and latches just the same as the old ones (before they fell apart). It was easy to use some needle nose pliers to pull out the old ones and these slipped right in place. They look great (if you’re taller than the door) and look exactly the same as the old ones (except apparently the old ones were a bronze color, which I didn’t realize). I didn’t even need to change the plate in the door frame because these are exactly the same size.

Couldn’t get old one out of top of the door (when house built they pushed the assembly too deep to be removed). Took new one apart and ball, spring and cap fit in old one and works great.

Our French doors kept getting stuck so I bought these. They are super easy to change it and since we put the new ones in they open and close perfectly!
