I was just moving to a new room and needed more light than the 40 watt tiny bulb in the fan. I ordered these lights and simply removed the entire old bulb, socket and cover, and replaced it with one of these new LED lights. What a world of difference! Luckily, the fan's light mount was steel, so the magnets have a firm grip and haven't moved regardless of the fan's speed setting.I used the 2nd light to brighten up the light over the kitchen table. It took a little fiddling around to get the magnets to attach because of the wiring harness of the fan, but once one they had a very firm grip with no problems afterwards.Very satisfied overall.

This is being used in a rather dark stairway. Being is that it's an older light, it was difficult to find something that was going to make it much brighter. This LED light did the job! It was very easy to install.
