These arrived compressed and I recommend running water over them to help them expand to their full size.I got these to replace a filter sponge in my koi pond's skimmer basket. Probably a non-standard use for these, but they seem to be working well and catching fine debris in the water. I was able to easily cut these to the size I needed for my skimmer, so it's working really well.

I have a garden pond that needed filters for my canister. This the worst filter I have ever seen in my life. Do not purchase.

These take a white to fluff back up after being compressed for packaging but they're exactly as described. I needed them for a paludarium I'm building and they're just what I needed!
