I bought this for chainsaw files. I usually use a jig to sharpen chains but every once in a while I need to sharpen a chain a little when not at home. At first, it felt a little loose. I loosened the knob and pushed the file further in. It works better but still a little flimsy. Could just be me because the file won't come out even when pulled much harder than it would see in normal use.If you need a handle for those times you can't sharpen with the normal tools, this gets the job done. The color makes it easy to see as well. I like all my outdoor tools some bright color so they easy to see in grass or on the ground. This tool has that.

These handles duplicate the Stihl file handle at a much better price. They are lightweight and hold the files well without slipping. The plastic handles are easy to clean. Great to keep handy with files when using chain saws in the field.

The design and concept are great! It’s definitely nice as a “oh throw it in that box and it’ll be better than nothing†kinda tool. Cause it is. Better than nothing. BUT! Definitely not pro grade! Don’t regret my purchase at all and it’s cool that the crossguard things are also angle suggest-ers.
