I upgraded an existing hook and eyelet fastener with this new latch. The hook "lock" had once been breached by a couple teens who forced the hook with a sudden jerk. The two things I immediately noted is this upgrade is much stronger and looks better. I think it would be necessary to pull out two screws to overcome this latch. It'll take a lot of muscle. The installation is not quite trivial because spacing is very important, but if you mark the installation location carefully, you shouldn't have many problems. This is a nice looking replacement.

This latch works well. But I wish the latch had a bigger piece to grip when opening and closing it. There were no instructions, but it was pretty simple to install.

We have an accordion door as our bathroom door in our tiny cabin - we wanted a lock that was more esthetically pleasing than the typical silver metal eye hook. These 90 degree locks are perfect as the door meets a wide flat board. The lock is also simplistic/ low profile and lovely - the color is perfect. The structure and finish are very well made and high quality.

Ordered the 2 Pack Door Latch in large. Main reason was to use on a sliding glass door that has wood on the interior. Wanted some extra protection other than the lock that comes with it. This latch is sturdy and very simple design. It does what is intended. I find that a template would be helpful as getting it lined up just right can be tricky since you have a moving piece (if you want everything to look straight). A template that you could fold would be helpful. Other than that it seems to be a decent product.

We have an old wooden screen door that needed a latch so the cats couldn't push their way out. I ordered the smaller one, and boy is it tiny. However, that's not a criticism of its function - it works great and as expected.It only took about 10 minutes to install. Just fit the pieces together as if it were locked. Put it in position against the door and jamb then pencil in where the holes are to be drilled. Drill your holes, screw the pieces on, and success! Works great.

First, this is a super simple latch that should be perfect. I wanted to have a latch that I could engage on my screen door on my lanai as we have hurricanes down this way and in the last one, the regular latch did not hold. This came in a tiny pack and there are no instructions - Now this is a super simple device so perhaps they think none should be needed. I wanted to install in the 90 degree approach. You need to have the pieces positioned and then drill 4 holes. To make a long story short I had to drill 7 holes because the alignment just wasn't right. The fit of the one swinging arm into the other piece requires a pretty precise alignment. When done, it works perfectly, but it was a frustrating installation for something that is very simple. Probably a few lines of instruction to offer suggestions on how to get a perfect alignment would be helpful; perhaps even a small template for a right angle installation that I could lay up against the door and mark the 4 holes would have helped a lot. I hope the manufacturer is listening.
