This shutoff valve threaded on to the handle of my new Moen hand held shower head and the hose threaded easily onto the valve. I had purchased the only inline shut off valve available at my local big box and it would not thread onto the plastic threads on handle of the shower head. This valve threaded on smoothly and works smoothly. I have arthritis in both of my thumbs and I was worried that the lever might be too hard to push, but it glides with minimal pressure and it shuts the water off completely. One word of caution, the rubber gasket/screen that sits at the base of the female side of the valve does not push down into the valve securely - it will fall out if given the chance. Overall very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely buy from this supplier again.

Let me rephrase..... I typically never leave home without them. I forgot them for this trip. Hence my need to purchase more. I gave one of the two to my mother. She is hooked and wonders how she lived without one. She purchased more for the other bathrooms..I have one on the butt sprayer I never leave home without. And another that I connect to showerheads while traveling. I love long hot showers. There are a few family and friends who have not converted to tankless water heaters. Therefore it's vital to turn down the water as much as possible to avoid using up or running out of hot water..... in addition to saving water and energy that is. Saving water and energy is the reason I first purchased these several years ago. I can still take a 20 to 30 minute shower (using a shower head with the misting feature - if one is not present during long stays I replace their old shower heads or bring mine from home. No I do not travel lightly.) and still save water and energy. You simply screw it on. This was there is no fussing with the faucet. Some mixing taps do not allow water pressure control. This inexpensive yet vital - in my opinion, valve should be included with every shower head sold. The pause function on many showerheads today drops the water pressure so low most tankless heaters shut off. You then most pour water (money) down the drain while getting cold waiting for more hot water. Let's be honest the pause feature is pointless. It never shuts the water off completely, yet doesn't provide enough pressure for the misting feature to work. Instead the trickle of water runs down the showerhead. Tankless systems turn off or hot water continues to flow down the drain from a conventional water. Instead grab a couple of these and new water saving showerheads with the misting feature to stay warm while enjoying a long relaxing hot shower. Remember, if you turn the water down too low, regardless of the showerhead, a tankless systems will turn off. Within three to five minutes you will get hit with a mist of cold water. I find tankless systems are all different. You'll need to find the low water pressure sweet spot for each tankless systems.

They are easy to install. They stop the water and don’t leak. It’s all I need. Oh the black/bronzed color matches my shower heads exactly.

I found these easy to install with just a small crescent wrench. Teflon tape is not included, so I would make sure to have some on hand. I bought these because I live in an area where the municipal water inflow temp is about 50°F in the winter. Conserving hot water is the key to everyone getting a comfortable shower. These work great for stopping the flow so one can lather or care for other water-wasting tasks — they make it easy to resume with the same water temperature. The quality of these 1/4 turn valves seems very good. I was expecting to see some reduction in flow rate; but if there is, it is so slight that I do not notice.

I've really been enjoying these shower head control valves. They help you save money by being able to turn down the water flow while you're soaping up, and they're easy to shift from full to stop or anywhere in between. These valves seem to be made of heavy duty metal and were simple to install. Bravo!

Doesn't take a lot of room, so your shower head is only a little closer to you.I had reservations about the size of the little lever at first, but it has proven to be very smooth and easy to move. You can shut off the water altogether, or just reduce the volume of water while you suds up.A great water saver!Highly recommended!

The shower head from Costco didn't solve the leaking problem, but this valve did. It’s a great product – easy to use, high quality, and effectively resolved the issue. Highly recommend!

Good price but would not use for a permanent fix. Solid metal but the valve is plastic. Purchased to stop the flow from a leaky Moen cartridge. Took some work to install. Required a lot of Teflon tape and torque to stop leaking from the thread. Still getting a minor leak at the leaver (from plastic valve). This is a good purchase for temporally stopping the flow during a shower but not as a permanent off valve.
