I like to occasionally leave my bedroom window open at night. I was using a piece of wood to block the window from opening too much. This metal pole is adjustable in height and has an adjustable rubber foot. I do wish the top was also rubber, but it's metal. I have single hung windows so this pole just kind of sits on top of the window and isn't really secure. If the window is pulled down this pole could potentially fall and allow the window to fully open.

I got this Gadgetzan Window Security Bar to keep one of my windows secure, and it’s actually pretty good. It’s way sturdier than just sticking a piece of wood in there, and it fits nicely since it’s adjustable. The rubber base helps it stay in place, and it was super easy to set up-no tools or anything, which I loved.That said, if someone (or a pet) shakes the window hard enough, I could see it possibly slipping out, but it would take a great deal of effort, so just keep that in mind, but I am pretty happy, just know it’s not perfect. For the price, it does the job and makes me feel a bit safer. Definitely worth it if you just need something simple and quick to install.

I purchased these to use in my bedrooms. They were super easy to install and use. I feel more secure than just having the windows closed and locked with the simple locks it comes with. This item was such a steal for the quality. Highly recommend!
