These seem great, I installed 1 in my window track with the rubber insert and no one is getting through without breaking my window. In the box they came in each is sealed in a bag with a hex key, and additional hex key for weird angles. Also when I have my AC exhaust in the window I can use 1 up top and 1 on bottom to prevent a draft and keep my home is secure. Zero problems and no complaints.

I couldn't figure out how to put them on my window so I had my handyman do it for me. They fit well the quality is very good I feel more secure now that the front windows are locked.

I live in new construction in FL with hurricane impact windows with the skinniest slide tracks I have ever seen. These work great! My toddlers kept opening their second story bedroom windows and I was terrified they were going to fall out of them and get hurt. After researching I decided these would be the best option. Now I put two of them on each window, so the four pack was sufficient for both windows in their room. I tried with all my might (which is about 80+lbs of pressure, I spend about a good amount of time carrying my three toddlers simultaneously everywhere). They didn’t budge at all. I was actually afraid I might break the window before they would move. These windows wouldn’t be a fire route escape anyway as they just fall two stories straight down, so I wasn’t particularly worried about that aspect. Would highly recommend.Only complaint is that two of the four rubber gaskets were snapped unevenly in half instead of being folded, which made installing them a little trickier, but overall very happy with the product.

I installed a set of these window locks on older vinyl windows. I noted the recommended window track measurements... "To ensure a perfect fit for your window, please make sure your window track height is greater than 0.7in (1.9cm) and width is less than 0.67in (1.7cm). " However, the enclosed foam padding inside the locks made it difficult to fit my vertical window track, so I decided to cut the foam in half vertically, and only use it on the side with the screws. That worked for me, since I never open these basement windows. I did air out the foam pads on my outside patio for 48 hours, to lessen the smell, which worked. The enclosed vertical key worked extremely well and made the vertical installation much easier. The locks appear to be very strong, and they are giving me some peace of mind.

Not what I expected. I needed to actually lock the sliders. These take a typical Allen wrench to manipulate. But they seem ok if you just want to keep a 3 year old from opening the door

Indispensable if you have little ones and/or special needs in your home. Before these we had little ones with special needs pushing out screens and jumping out the windows to run outside with countless dangers, and so this has been a game changer for our family and added a much higher quality of life, and has probably helped save the lives of 2 of our little ones, also love the value of added home safety/security. Seems pretty secure. Definitively prevents a door from being opened from the outside. From the inside, although would take some time depending on the tool used and possible damage caused, it could be removed by prying. I do recommend for the added security.
