Great idea, and I like using my canning jars for other things. This works great, with a correct sized canning ring over the top. What is a bit concerning is that the raw wood dipper part that scoops up honey does not have deep set channels to hold honey. So it works as if you dipped a ball into honey, you get a little at a time. That might work well for some folks and not for others, depends on your tastes. It works, but could work a bit better. Good idea though.

I go these in hopes that they would work well for the limited edition honeybee Ball canning jars that I have and thankfully they work perfectly. They fit right inside the canning jar ring and make it easy to transform a normal canning jar into a honey jar complete with dipper. They have a good seal and I do not have to worry about leaks. They look great and work well for dispensing honey but really could use some deeper grooves to hold more honey. As they are made they are a bit on the rounded side and don't have much capacity. I tend to like a lot of honey in my food when I use it so you have to dip a few times. This is a nice way to utilize a jar that you already have to make it into a great gift or a practical honey jar.

As strictly dippers, they are as functional as any other dipper. As a suitable fit for a mason jar, they're not. The lip is too thick for the threaded ring to screw down to secure this.

I am so happy to have found wooden "spoons" for my honey. They fit perfectly on my honey jar. Great quality.

I make my own hot honey and store it in mason jars, so I thought this would be a perfect addition.Unfortunately the execution just isn’t there.First of all, when I opened the package, one of the two lids was broken, with a sliver missing from the outer rim. The two lids were just thrown into a box with no packing material, but the sliver that broke off was nowhere to be found, which leads me to suspect that it was packed that way at the factory, and is a quality control issue, not a shipping issue.Second, the honey dipper part doesn’t actually have any channels to actually hold honey. I’ve attached a photo to compare with another honey dipper I bought on Amazon. This thing can’t actually hold very much honey, which is frustrating. Also, a warning: if you were hoping to use this with a common 8oz mason jar, it’s too tall.

These are unfinished wood honey sticks/spoons. I imagine that they might need to be finished with something in order to remain nice for an extended period of time... I am not sure. However, they work and they fit on all standard mouth mason jars.
