I bought this for my simple modern water bottle as a replacement cap. It fits perfectly. It does not leak. I travel a lot and always concerned about water quality. I usually end up buying bottled water, which is terrible for the environment and my wallet. This CrazyCap makes it so easy and convenient, it kills all the germs in the water with a simple tap on the cap using UV light. It does not use any replaceable filters or chemicals, which makes it even better. No more travelers diarrhea. Happy with my purchase. I wish they make one for 25 Oz bottles​ as well.

Just received the Crazy Cap last night and charged it right away. The packaging was great. Easy to charge. I wanted to test it before I take it on vacation with me. It was very easy to use, and fit my 17oz Swell bottle perfectly. The water has a very slightly bitter aftertaste, which was the same with the Steripen (which I’m also taking — want to make sure I have a fail safe). The water tasted fine straight out of the Brita. Not sure why this should be, since there are no chemicals being added. Is this the taste of dead pathogens? Lol! Regardless, however, I think it’s completely worth it, and the very slight aftertaste does not detract from the safety from sickness you get from the item.

It’s easy to use and doesn’t take long at all. The only thing that irks me is that it doesn’t fit my 17oz swell bottle perfectly, I need to press down on it before it to get it closed properly. Other then that, i like it!

I have had nothing but problems and difficulties in getting the cap to work. I've hardly used it, as I have been traveling, and should have complained about this before. The blue light has only worked two times since I purchased it. It now doesn't even come on and I am pushing as hard as I can on the lid area. I've tried all different pressures and it still doesn't work. The cap is supposed to hold its charge for up to 5 days and mine only holds it a few hours before going to the orange light and needing recharging. I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend it to anyone. Brooke Simonds

Great product and very easy to use.Nice design and cool packaging. It comes very useful during travel, especially overseas. You don’t have to stress over the quality of water in airports or hotels. Thanks Crazy Cap team for this innovated product!

I purchased the CrazyCap water purifying cap-only for my 17 oz Swell water bottle and it fits perfectly...tightly...no leaks. Washing the Swell bottle had always been such a chore because of the narrow neck. Even getting a bottle brush down to the bottom of the bottle was a pain. Since using the CrazyCap, I still feel the need to wash my Swell, but with much less vigor. The bottle maintains a much cleaner neutral smell and the water seems to be cleaner too! It's just comforting to know that the tap water I'm drinking and my bottle is being purified regularly.

I was initially excited for the CrazyCap2 since I also have the original. But unfortunately after a few months with the product there are some glaring issues.There is no safety mechanism to protect you from the UVC light used in the CrazyCap. The original version protected the user, the 2nd gen no longer does. This is a big disappointment, if it’s killing germs, I don’t want to be exposed to it! This is a big miss since other UVC bottles out there have this feature.The second major issue I had was leakage with my existing Swell bottle. The cap doesn’t provide a good fit and leaks unless you install it perfectly. I didn’t experience this with their gen 1 product.Overall, their 2nd gen product is a downgrade.On the positive side the product seems to be working after a couple months and I am glad to have it in this environment. However, the missing safety mechanism and poor bottle fit really limits this to home use only.

I bought this as a pocket carry disinfecting item to clean my phone and keys credit cards during this covid 19 time. I think it's better quality than hand wants out there and more powerful. That it disinfects water is a plus but not my reason for using. I just wish it came with a cap instead of a pouch to carry in for better protection.
