How to Remove Woodruff Key
Select the right size.
These claw-like devices come in different sizes. You can use measuring tape to find out the diameter of the pulley, you’ll need an appropriate socket wrench to adjust the forcing screw on the gear puller.
Use gear puller
Once the gear puller is set, the center bolt should engage the pulley shaft in proper alignment to prevent slippage. Adjust the arms so that the puller’s jaws are set at about right angles against the pulley or gear.
Tighten the forcing screw
Use the socket wrench to tighten the screw at the end of the gear puller until the screw touches the pulley shaft. Continue turning until the pulley can slide free.You can strike the exposed end of the gear puller with a hammer to try to loosen the pulley.
Remove the Woodruff key
On the freed pulley, locate the semicircular shape in the shaft. This is the Carnkshft key and it can be removed by gripping the sides with pliers or wedging one end with a screwdriver.

I needed 1 key but for the price your crazy not to buy the box and have all the sizes for the next time. Nothing worse than not having what you need when you need it so buying a kit with all sizes it's a no brainer for me, especially for the price it's less for kit than one key from John deere!

Would of like to have a few more of certain sizes in them. Used on a tractor so we were limited to sizes we could use.

The parts were all jumbled together (mostly) inside the broken box, with the dividers all out. Some of the pieces had even fallen out into the shipping envelope. After an hour of sorting, and taping together the broken box, it looks like a good assortment.
