If the UBPet V10 2025 is someone’s first robovac, I am sure they will love it. It is not my first, so I have mixed feeling about it. It is my third robovac. We have a Roborock S8 with just a basic charging dock, and a super fancy Roborock Saros 10R. To keep things shorter, I will refer to these as the V10, the S8 and the 10R from here on out.The S8 is my benchmark for any other robovac. It is a fantastic vacuum cleaner that vacuums up more dust, dirt, cat litter and hair than any other robovac I have ever experienced. At this point, I have seen and tested quite a few. It does have some shortcomings, like any robovac, and no robovac is perfect. The V10 has some great features. It charges from about 20% to 100% in about 90 minutes compared to 2.5-3 hours. It overcomes thresholds and rugs like nothing else I have ever seen. Bathroom rugs, and other small, very flexible rugs are always a challenge, and the V10 handles them much better than either the S8 or the 10R. Even if it folds these rugs over or crumples them up against a wall, it usually can still climb over them. Thresholds are also usually a problem with robovacs. We have several 1.25 inch thresholds from our linoleum floors onto our laminate floors. The V10 doesn’t even slow down. It just climbs right over them without any problem. It does better than our 10R, which offers its ability to climb stuff and overcome thresholds as a major selling point. For me the most important thing about a robovac is its vacuuming ability. Like I said, the S8 is my champ. The V10 does not vacuum nearly as well as the S8. I sent the V10 through three of our rooms with max suction and twice (other brands usually call this the 2X) setting. Immediately afterwards, I sent the S8 through the same three rooms with its max suction setting and 2X selected. The twice or 2x setting means that it will clean the same room twice with a crisscross pattern for deep cleaning. It only makes sense that the V10 would have much more dust, dirt, and hair in its dustbin as the S8, since it went first when the room was dirtier. Not so! The S8 collected far more dust, dirt, and hair than the V10. It collected many more times the amount of stuff than the V10 collected, even through the V10 has 22,000 Pa of suction power compared to the S8’s 6,000 Pa of suction power. More suction does not necessarily mean better cleaning! The S8 just cleans much better than the V10 for only $50 more. However, the V10 did do significantly better at picking stuff up than our $1300 10R did. In a similar three-room test, the V10 picked up about three times more stuff than the 10R, just not nearly as much as the S8.One thing the V10 did that neither of our two other robovacs could do is pick up the super fine, downy under fur from one of our cats. No vacuum cleaner does a very good job at this, be they robo or otherwise. It took two tries, but the V10 did pick up this fine fur from many different places on our dining area rug on the second try. I think if the V10’s roller brush turned even faster, it could do even better at loosening stuff from rugs and carpets. The V10’s app needs some work. The app is a little clunky and some things do not always work quite right. I had a hard time dividing and merging areas so I could set up my map just how I like it. Our hallway is long and narrow. The V10 originally mapped this hallway in three sections that it combined with other rooms. I wanted this hallway to be a single room in the map because it gets a lot of traffic and frequently needs cleaning. The app kept giving errors when I tried to divide the hallway out from adjoining rooms and then merge it into a single long room in my map. I ended up having to delete my house map and letting the V10 remap my house before I could get my map setup how I wanted it to be. Overall, the app is not bad. It just needs some refinement. I think in another iteration or two, it will have the kinks worked out of it.The V10’s cleaning algorithm also needs some work. Just watching the V10 do its thing while cleaning, it is obvious that it is missing small areas. Looking at its progress in the app also makes it very clear that it is missing spots along the way. Unless one uses the twice (2x) setting in the app, it keeps missing the same spot every time it is run through a room with the same settings because it does the room in almost the exact same route each time. The twice setting will direct it to use a crisscross pattern and vacuum the room twice, so it usually hits the spots it missed the first time on the second time around. But, will the batteries last long enough to get this done? Not always!Battery life is where the V10 suffers significantly compared to most other robovacs. It is far too short. But it does charge quickly. With our S8 and 10R, I can vacuum more than half of our house in max suction mode before they must be charged. The V10 can do the same area in about four charges in max suction more. In its default 12,000 Pa setting, it can complete half of our house before needing to be recharged. By then its batteries are at about 20%. Our other two robovacs still have gas in the tank when the house is halfway done and could easily handle another room or two.Bathroom rugs are always a problem. They either roll over or get crumpled up against a wall. I suggest not to use the 18,000 or 22,000 Pa suction settings on small rugs or bathroom rugs. The V10 will suck up the rug and drag the whole thing around the bathroom rather than pass over it. But it does fantastically with the default 12,000 Pa suction setting. It handled bathroom rugs better than either the S8 or the 10R. This is really impressive! There is so much more I could tell you, but this review is far too long already. I think the UBPet V10 2025 is not quite ready for the real world quite yet. It is an excellent beginning. But it needs some refinement before it can handle what it will face in an average house. It is far better in some really impressive ways than many robovacs with similar price tags. But in other ways it is much worse.I really wanted to love the V10 and I think in a couple of years it will be fantastic. I just can’t love it yet. Unfortunately, our house is filled with people with long hair, cats and a lot of foot traffic. Our house gets dirty fast and needs daily cleaning. My UbPet V10 2025 will be returned and I will get a second $350 Roborock S8 so I can keep up with the mess. I hope my experience helps someone!

A really cool vacuum. It maps out your whole house on the app. You are able to then set up zones where you want it to clean, or not clean. It saves so much time. It also has these really cool wheels that allow it to climb up onto taller rugs without getting stuck, and does really well on cleaning hard floors and rugs. The brush roll is just a microfiber type roll, so it doesn't really sweep up things, it moreso just wipes them up.The cons- It's really loud. The battery life isn't great- it only lasts about an hour until it needs to recharge, and the recharge also takes about an hour. I definitely think its a good vacuum, but I don't think it's worth the money they are charging.
