Got these for a coleman lantern I picked up recently. It's a propane model with 2 mantels. The originals were >30 years old, and almost immediately blew a hole in one when I started the lantern up the first time. These replacements look huge compared to the originals, but once you burn them and start the lantern up, they shrink to a more normal size. No complaints so far - they work as advertised and have gone through several propane tanks on the first set of mantels.

The items came in quick. They looked really big at first, but I installed them to my lantern, and they shrunk and work just great.

We had a power outage a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't find the extra mantles for my Coleman lamps. Every time I would light them, I would pray one didn't break. I could not tell the difference between these and all the others costing much more, so I ordered 20. For the price, how can you go wrong? It sure beats sitting in the dark. I have not really used them, other to put a couple on one lamp and light it for a few minutes, so long term who knows. But they work fine, just remember to burn them first in the lamp and let them go out and than turn on the gaas and relight.

After reading the other reviews I was afraid to even try theses. I opened them and they are much bigger than the Coleman mantels.

Had to replace the old one because it fell off. That this one is larger and gives me more light. It don’t burn down like the old one I’d had.
