This bit works perfectly for making a slot for shelves for sconces! This was exactly what I got it for, so I am glad it's the perfect width. It fit perfectly into my Ryobi router, and cut a 5/8 groove like a champ.

I installed this bit in my table-mounted router. It cuts cleanly and fast. The 1/2†shank gives it rigidity, necesssary for a large router bit like this. The carbide cutting edges are brazed on solidly, and the bit does not cause vibration. Good value, recommended.
