We’re getting into more complex CNC work and learning double sided carvings. Videos show using dowels to make it easier to flip and carve the opposite side and keep it in place. These are the perfect size for the bit we’re using to drill the anchor holes. I don’t know how many uses we’ll get out of each bit I’m thinking this pack will last quite a while. I also think we’ll be able to use them in some small furniture assembly. The quality is nice and the price is great.

I recently purchased the 260Pcs Wooden Dowel Pins set, and I am pleased with the product. The set includes dowel pins in four common sizes: 1/4X1-3/16 inch, 5/16X1-3/16 inch, 5/16X1-9/16 inch, and 3/8X1-9/16 inch.These dowel pins are beveled and fluted design, which ensures a tight fit and strong jointing. The fluted grooves along the dowels are created by compressing the dowel. The water from the glue can allow the dowel to then decompress a little providing a tighter joint. The groves also allow air to escape which prevents hydraulic locking (ie. the pin popping back out after pounding it in). The beveled ends make it easier to insert the dowels into pre-drilled holes, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free assembly process. The pins I measured were off by .001†or less. In other words, the size is very accurate. The hardwood material used for these pegs did have some knots and other imperfections on roughly 10% of the pins. None of the imperfections in the dowels were significant enough to impact their use.

This is s a great set of dowel rods. They're strong and sturdy, with fluted edges and rounded to help fit them into the dowel holes, and they've got excellent uniformity in size and quality. I only had 4 defects, and 96% is a very good quality rate. The dowels can't be snapped by hand and would take a lot of force to break, and they hold onto wood glue perfectly to make sure it gets into all parts of the holes you put them into. At under $7 for a pack of 100, it's an incredible value, and I highly recommend them!The only downside of these is that I didn't truly get 100 usable dowels - I got 96. If that's enough to ruin your plans for a project, you'll want to consider getting two, or looking somewhere else, but I have yet to find any set of dowels that didn't have at least a couple defects that made it into the package.* I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis.* I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review.* I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product.* I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable.* If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them.* And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

These are nice accurately sized dowels for use in woodworking projects. I like that it's more than a handful, but also not a giant tub of them. 128 should do a few projects at least.These dowels are made of a hard birch. They are consistent, and solid. They have glue grooves in them, and have tapered ends. Dowels are fairly simple, but if you've seen bad ones, it's not fun. These are quality, no worries, easy to use, and fit perfectly.

Nice dowels. Not the very best money can buy but for my kind of use, they're great.I have used them a couple of times now, I like that they give you some different lengths for when I drill too deeply.My only complaints are that they are not deeply grooved so I don't think they'll hold as much glue as others. I don't think it matters much because more glue doesn't necessarily mean more strength. The other is that there are a few defects and knots in them. It's not a big deal at this price point.Overall, I would buy these again.

This 232-piece wooden dowel set could be the last one you own if you're a DIY guy who occasionally needs dowels for various projects like myself!I have several random dowel pieces but not a kit that covers a nice range of sizes. The set contains 1/4, 5/16th, and 3/8-inch diameter dowels in various lengths, which is helpful so you don't have to cut them to size. I did a snap test with a pair of pliers, and I'm satisfied with the quality for the types of tasks I work on.I also like that this kit came in a snap-close organizer box, which makes it easy to quickly and easily find what you need.Overall, this is an A+!

A whole variety pack of useable dowels 👠Seems to be meant mostly for internal/hidden usage but really not too shabby when cut flush in a visible location.
