This is a perfect sized trap for cats, possums, raccoons, etc.It's easy to set up and to bait.The instructions aren't very clear, but if I could figure it out then you can too. It's very obvious.This is a good trap for capturing critters gently for care or relocation.

This review is for the Live Animal Trap Cage, 32" Raccoon Large Traps Detachable into 16" Small Box Trap for Groundhog, Stray Cats Humane Rodent Cage Indoor & Outdoor Heavy Duty Foldable Steel Cat Catcher Catch Release.This is a really cool design, being 2 diff size traps in 1! I've never seen a live trap designed like this before. So despite being in the city up here, we have tons of wildlife/critters. There's a huge metroparks system, and there's a big wooded area across the street from us and a parkway that even though there's houses on it has a lot of rugged areas with woods/ravines/creeks... running through it that's just a short ways from us.Now don't get me wrong, I like and appreciate our wildlife. I lived out in the country most of my life and lived in harmony with them. But this past summer some new critters were noticed and I don't want them here. They carry diseases and pose a threat to my dogs and us.... so they're gonna be evicted! LOL. I'll take them for a good long ride and release them into a nice wilderness area where they can be happy as can be and live a long happy life as they were intended to in the wild.So I won't transport them in the cage, I'll transfer them to a good sturdy enclosed kennel cage as it's safer that way. And when you open the door they naturally go out the only way they can see out.As others have noted, this can be a bit frustrating to setup, but once you get through it it's sturdy and worth it. So I haven't used it yet as it's winter here in our northern state. I thought about using it to catch some of the rabbits, but they don't really hurt anything right now. And we do have a pair of hawks that live in a tree next door, they seem to do a good job contolling them. So I have this ready to use in the spring.. So if there's any issues with it working I'll update my review.Regular price $ 119.00 per the listing, since this is actually the 2 traps in 1 I'm good with it. But as I always say, watch for a sale/coupon, browse listings...As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

I have had a trouble due to a groundhog. He was a big fat and well Read out my garden this summer. We finally had enough worth him eating it for and digging holes under our fence. We wanted to do something human so we found this trap. The build quality is great, all metal. The size and weight are decent and it is super easy to use and set. I caught him on first night so the functionality is there. Now we are working on a neighbor's outdoor cats that they don't fix. Highly effective. I definitely recommend.

I have the large version of the trap and the assembly was a pain. It is basically two smaller traps put together. The issue was trying to unfold the trap while also putting in the rods to keep it unfolded. Basically having to align two different sides of the trap while fighting from keeping it from folding on itself.

Large trap is somewhat easy to assemble - took a minute to figure everything out. Instructions weren’t great but I eventually got it.Construction is decent. Good size for the XL trash pandas in my area. Works and is effective in catching them - haven’t had any robbed traps yet.Decent value for something that easily packs away. I’d recommend it.

PROS: well made, welds seem very firm and the wire used for the cages is thick and strong; trap mechanism works well; converts from full size to smaller trapCONS: assembly instructions aren't clear, it's tricky to get it assembled correctly the first time but after that it's easily converted between the two trap sizes

The minute an animal gets in this cage and attempts to get out, IT DOES, as the cage falls apart because the assembly is only TEMPORARY hold. This is a TOTAL Waste of Your Time and Money. So disgusted I want NOTHING IN RETURN. Purchase at Your own risk, but I do NOT recommend this product that a kitten caused to fall apart as it fought to get out of cage. What a joke!

TheFatRancher has unwanted critters. Not sure what they are, but they say hello from his ceiling in the middle of the night. So it was time to scrounge up a live trap so we can see if we are running a squirrel hotel.The Bomarte Wisdom "Live Animal Trap Cage, 32" Raccoon Large Traps Detachable into 16" Small Box Trap for Groundhog, Stray Cats Humane Rodent Cage Indoor & Outdoor Heavy Duty Foldable Steel Cat Catcher Catch Release" is a two piece design that ships flattened.Expanding the cage and installing the stiffening rods creates a solid cage in two pieces. Going squirreling? Use one half. Racoons? Tie the pieces together for a roomier trap.I think I am going to place a camera watching this so I can find out what I am after before actually trapping. A little "peanut butter surprise" and wiring this open will give me an idea of what critter I'm after and get them used to going in the trap.This is a nice versatile trap.
