In Missouri the opening can not to exceed 1-1/2 inches by 18 inches for Crawfish traps. The opening for this one is 2-1/2 inches diameter. So, I have to close it up an inch. With that being said, it is a well built trap. Worth the money in my opinion. It can be scary putting that much money on a trap that maybe stolen so I can understand why someone would be cautious to order it. However, one good season of use will pay for itself, if you like to eat as much mudbugs as I do that is. Be sure to check your state regulations with traps and baits to stay out of trouble my friends.

Hands down the very best crayfishing traps available! So feature packed, rugged, and so very efficient to use. In addition they are well made and such top shelf quality that I wouldn't hesitate to classify them as commercial grade crayfish traps. Crayfishing with these traps will give you confidence because they were so very well thought out in design and in functionality. These traps were built to last and don't consist of any fall apart components. What more could you ask for when you can have a long-lasting and efficient product? Having said that, do yourself a favor and skip all the frustration of using all of the other junk traps on the market and get yourself some Crayster gear. Spend more time having fun crayfishing than being frustrated with traps that are inefficient junk. So highly recommended and worth every penny. I plan to purchase several more of these traps in the very near future. 😎

Easy to access. Catches crayfish. Easy to open up the bait trap, a little difficult to grab the crayfish but otherwise I am very happy with this product!

The well-done powder coating is also of a color that does not disturb or shy away Crayfish. In short the Snake River Crayfish Trap is a worthwhile investment for the seriously dedicated Cray/Crawfisher!

Love the trap. Very well designed and built. Was catching crawfish like crazy and having a great time until I threw the trap out of the left (deeper) side of the boat. We had been throwing our traps off to the right which is where the depth finder is. Depth was 10-13 feet. Didn’t realize we were straddling a deep drop off and tossed my $100 trap into 40 feet of water. With 25 feet of line. Watched in horror as my buoy sank out of sight.

Made in the USA! Not some Chinese made piece of junk. Absolutely awesome trap. Great quality and craftsmanship. Craysters make the best traps on the market…hands down! Easy access door for loading with bait and emptying contents and size of openings allow for larger crawfish to enter trap.

Just received 2 of these traps. Well constructed, heavy duty. If they had more available I would buy more. This is one of the best cylinder traps on the market. Central built in bait station worked well already.

After using several other brands of crawfish traps, I started watching Craysters videos on YouTube and their posts on social media. I received one of their Snake River model traps as a gift from a friend. That trap significantly out produces my other traps so I ordered a second one from here on Amazon. With the weather starting to warm up, I can't wait to get both of these in the water as I'm confident that I'll be cooking up lots of craws! I'll be ordering more I'm sure!
