I was hoping to use these to filter just the sink water in our houseboat, but the connections did not fit. Rather than fiddle with buying all new fittings we went ahead and used it at the hose intake instead. The fitting that is included in the box worked perfectly. The first little bit of water was grey as expected with most charcoal filters. Just let it run a bit. The box comes with two filters and the hose connector. I had hoped to just filter the sink rather than filter our shower and everything, but that was based solely on my desire to save money buying filters. It works just as expected. I am going to research the company to see if they also have an inline version so when we are on tank water rather than shore water, it would still filter the tank water. Prior to this inline filter we were using a Brita filter to filter all drinking and cooking water. This has eliminated that need. Our drinks and ice no longer taste like a waterhose.
