I have a large chuck drill press and use this reamer to clearance through holes in aluminum engine parts. Works great.

I expected this item to be as long as my original, but it is not. If you want a reamer that is only 2.5" long, then I suppose it will suit your needs. My old one is 3 inches even though it is broke. I surmise that the old one is at least 3.50" long when new.

I bought this to ream 4 bronze bushings to a final 3/4" on a car restoration project. It made it through 1 with great effort, and could not cut the other 3. I threw it away and bought a Drill America reamer, which made it through the other 3 bushings in a couple of minutes each. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS.
