Because of the heavy duty aspect of this speed bump, I'm not worried to use it to protect my water pipe. My contractor was too lazy to lay the water pipe across my sidewalk before concrete was poured. Now, I've no way to design an automatic water sprinkler system until I found this product. I can now run a water pipe under the speed bump across from my house to the lawn. Looks good and practical. Glad I found this.

These things lost one star for the Incredible stink! I have not smelled them recently however. Perhaps the smell does go away in a month or so!These have been outside for months now and they still stink!!

Perfect for slowing speeders down on paths. These rubber speed bumps are thick and sturdy. They're also perfect for protecting cables/extension cords/etc when laying them across an active road because of the grooves in the bottom. Really pleased with them. Be prepared for the smell, however. The speed bumps themselves stink, and when they arrive in the packaging, you'll know - so don't keep them inside the house.

I am giving these heavy rubber speed bumps three stars because they smell so toxic. I don't think I have ever encountered anything like it. Even after being outside for days, they still smell. I am using them on a small road that goes back into the woods that have extension cords and lines that needed to go under them. They work great for what they are intended to do but my goodness, I felt sorry for the delivery driver that had to have these obnoxious smelling things on their truck until late afternoon delivery time. All I can think about is the poor people that manufacture these things. I hope they are robots. I wore disposable gloves when handling them, they are that bad. On the plus side, it is nice that they have two channels and are heavy duty, well-made speed bumps. I will only have slow, light traffic using them but feel they would easily stand up to heavier traffic.

I’ve been using these to protect an extension cord I have to run over my circle driveway to power some tools in part of my yard I’m working. I get a few large delivery trucks driving over them just about every day and they’ve held up well and kept my cord from getting damaged at all. I haven’t bolted them down and they stay in place well enough, though they do come with some anchors if you want to install them more permanently. Nice speed bumps for the price and I recommend them.

It's been 3 days since these have been airing out outside... and they're still smelly (albeit not as intense).I really do hope the smell goes away. I have these on my driveway and the first two days it was so bad, that I couldn't even work in my garage (all doors open) due to the smell as it caused a bad head ache.Beyond that, what I love about these speed bumps is that they have cut outs underneath them that allow you to run a garden hose underneath it - or extension cable, etc. Effectively protecting your hose or cable from being crushed by a cars weight.

These speed bumps are well made from quality rubber material. They are very heavy duty, durable and rugged. The units are heavy and hold up to weight, while staying in place. There are designated holes for the included anchors should one desire that. There are two channels beneath the units that allow for the safe passage of wires or hoses. These are made from 100% rubber, so yes they do have a smell about them for a period of time, as expected. The smell is like new tires at a tire store. The item is as described by the seller. I am very pleased with this item and believe you will be as well. Therefore, Dr. T. highly recommends this product!!

First thing I noticed is the weight. These speed bumps are really heavy (which is a good thing). The don't feel cheap or consumer grade at all. The holes for cables are large and extremely sturdy. When running over these, I don't see any flex in them at all. When not in use as cable protectors across a road, they work really handy as a car stop for garages. The only negative is the intense chemical smell. The booklet says it goes away in about a day, but in reality takes about 2 weeks. Make sure you do not open indoors. Other than that, these are seriously strong and solid.
