I recently bought a use Ibanez Soundgear 6-string bass. The battery box and connector was broke. I bought this one to replace it and it fit perfectly! I didn't need to replace the connector because with battery box you can solder the wires directly to it. This is a great replacement!

these are some of my favorite type of 9v boxes. I've installed these into multiple guitars and work perfectly!!!

Fit right in, on my SR506. Had an old broken battery box. This fit the bill perfectly.

This battery box does the job. I bought it twice for 2 separate projects.

This appears to be the exact same battery box as the Musiclily one. It even came with a Musiclily branded pick. I'd say get this instead and save a few bucks. At time of writing, you could get two of these boxes for less than a single Musiclily box.As for fit, it dropped right into my Squier Contemporary Active Jazz Bass. All screw holes lined up, but no screws are included, so prepare to reuse the ones your instrument came with. A great upgrade over those terrible snap connectors they come with. Build is sturdy enough, the same as the original box I was replacing.Install was simple if you're familiar with soldering. Just make sure to remember which wire goes to which terminal - there is a handy diagram on the inside of the box that shows which way you should orient the 9V.As for cons, one of the terminals was slightly crooked. It wasn't loose though, and didn't affect function. The foam block attached to the lid was too big and caused it to bulge when closed, so I'd recommend to trim it. I also pinched the battery terminals a bit to make the battery go in and out easier.Extra tip, when you install the new box, screw down a strip of strong fabric so you can easily pull the old 9V out when you need to change.
