My thoughts: These reeds look to be European scrape aka short scrape reeds, which require a different embouchure to play than American scrape aka long scrape reeds (which I am used to playing). Therefore, I had to play around with my embouchure to get a satisfactory sound on these reeds. The reeds had wide openings which means that I had to press them closed after I soaked them in order to play them. One reed was flat at first (wide openings tend to produce flat pitch), but after warming up a bit, the intonation was easier to manipulate. The other reed was significantly harder to play (maybe a leak or the sides aren't closing completely, I'm not sure) but I preferred its less-reedy sound over the other reed. The higher notes were harder to hit without them being pitchy, but that could be due to the reeds being new and not broken in. They produce a loud sound and so far, it's hard to play dynamics on them, but they are new so that's to be expected.In terms of construction, one reed's scrape doesn't go all the way to the side, so a small section of the reed isn't scraped where it should be. This is the reed that's harder to play than the other one. I could try to scrape it and see if that makes a difference in the ease of playing.Overall, the reeds are okay, I can't say I'm in favor of them since they need some breaking in to do before I can decide if I like them or not.

The plastic containers were broken and so was the other reed. The other one (wich was undamaged) has almost nothing to do with oboe reeds. It’s kinked and there is barely any scraping. The tip was as thic as the heart and even the heart was barely scraped. I don’t care about refund but this is just rubbish. I’m a beginner oboists but fortunately I know skilled players. I doubt that even they could fix the reed to even produce a sound (any sound) and definitely these are not for beginners. I know that oboe reeds are a risk purchase from the internet and even with good brands there are better and worse individuals but this is just, well rubbish.
