I ordered these after picking up some from Walmart and arriving home and realizing the length was not at all the correct length for what I needed. I had already threw away the packaging so they were not returnable and were crappy quality anyway. I looked online for more and came across these. These are small, but thick and sturdy. I was planning on using these as part of a barrier I was making to keep the dogs out of the kitchen. These worked perfect. This did not come with instructions I had to come back to the product page to see how to put together and adjust the tension. Works great and very happy with my purchase.

great, strong, good springs, works. just read the fine print it is useful. there is a jump between using the attachment and not using it. for a window exactly 30 inches, i had to get the extension cut, or it would be too long, or too short. they put it in the description on Amazon, so can't blame them.

I have a shower only 33 inches wide. This rod was the perfect size to hold my smaller shower curtain; however after installing it, I have comments: Firstly, it is very narrow in diameter and wobbly. You can take your finger and move it up and down at the center. I do not think it is going to last for long. Secondly, the material at the ends should grip the wall, like a rubber material or something of the like, but this is more like plastic and slides down easily. I wish it were bigger around, had more substance, and had a material at the ends that will actually grip the wall. This is a letdown. When this one bites the dust, I will certainly choose better.

But it's hard to just throw away the extra pieces.

Needed a tension rod that would span 30 inches. Most are too long or too short. This one said it could handle 28 to 43 inches. It is actually very short (2 pieces collapse to 16 inches) and to expand it to 30 is nearly doubling its length so the two pieces bend and flex as there is not enough inner rod to stabiles such an extension. For longer than 30, there is actually a third rod that must be inserted. I had to use duct tape to sort of straighten the rods and hold them together.

Seems like a solid product except it only works for 17 to 29 inches and 32 to 43 inches there's an extension piece which is nice to have but it's too long for that 29 to 32 inches with the extension and without the extension, it doesn't extend far enough to go out to 29 to 32 inches. I ordered it for a 30-inch space and it is absolutely the worst possible distance for this product. It would never work as delivered. I made it work by cutting off 2 inches of the extension and now it works fine for 30 inches but this product is weird in that it's nice but it just will not work for that zone of 29 to 32 inches without modification.

I put these across my doorways about a foot or two above the ground, I have a large dog that will not step over them or try to push them, she just knows not to go across. I can step right over them when entering the room, my dog can see where I am. I have hit one a time or two forgetting it was there. No big deal, the just get put right back up, and aren't in real tight. They do get a bit bent but easy to straighten out
