I got these for marking patterns on Leather. They are great! Super sharp and comes with extra tips. It will last for years because of what I’m using them on. I would encourage other Leather workers to do the same.

I purchased this item after doing some research about engraving by hand. I do have a Dremel, but I wanted to find something that was safer and would give me more control AND wouldn't kick up a bunch of particles unnecessarily.I'm very glad that this was the one I bought because it's a reliable tool that works exactly as expected! The tips are VERY easy and intuitive to change out compared to similar types of tools. They also don't dull quickly, which is a pleasant surprise. (Partly because it's very very tempting to use them to open boxes.)I also very much like that the tip covers are red because that makes them slightly easier to find when they fall on the floor or get buried in desk clutter. (Suggestion for seller - add a few more for peace of mind in case any get lost)

I'm metal fabricator on a daily basis. While this scribe feels cheap in your hand, don't be fooled. This is a worthy purchase. I scribe into hardened material like AR plate and Cutting Edges on heavy equipment all day everyday.i bought the 2 pack scribe with like 12 inserts. 3 months in I'm still using the original insert with no indication in sight that I need to change it. The magnet on the opposite end from the insert is unnecessary and just collects metal shavings but that is a minor inconvenience. I highly recommend this product. Please for the love of God don't change it!

The heft and weight of these are good, but the nibs tend to slide out a bit while in use, so when I lift it to adjust a stroke during scrimshaw, it actually has caused some stray marks. Not enough to make me stop using them, but it is a tad annoying.

I fit and weld hydraulic cylinders and associated components. I uses these scribes daily, for 6+ months, and don't know how I managed with out them. They are accurate, scribe well and are well built.If you're not familiar with scribes, like most products there is a slight learning curve findjng the right way to hold them to get an absolutely accurate line. The tips are "stepped", think mechanical pencil where you have the lead, the tip the lead comes out, and then the body. If you're using a thicker piece of meterial to make a line you need to hold the scribes at a slight angle.The magnetic end is great for hanging the scribe on the lip of the lid of my tool box. Kepps it out of the way, but handy to grab when needed.With the extra tips and quality of them, I don't see myself needing to buy new ones for years. I'll probably end up losing them before they need replacing 😅

The thread on it wont allow me to screw on the cap so it cant hold a nibMakes it completely useless which is a shame.Ofher one works greatCant return as its a gift for very soon. What do you need this for. Inscribing discreetly your post code into items you don't want stolen, as it effects the resale value to handlers. Definition touch up on moulded items arts and crafts wise . Even de rusting items in your tool shed or kitchen. A brilliant piece of kit.
