Very nice design, only downside is the larger wheel will require a larger commercial strength weed eater to run it since it is heavier and wider.

LOOKS like it would be effective but unable to actually use them as they wouldn't fit on ANY of the 4 different brand/model of trimmer that I have.Further tinkering and modification may yield results but in all likelihood it'll wind up in the trash or donated to my buddy's forge.

This works really well and is super fun to use. We hooked it up to my dewalt grinder without any problems and used it to remove rust built up on my in-laws' stone steps from their new home to the lake. Its really satisfying to see the tool at work. Be careful around vines, it did get a couple wound around the tool that we had to pull out carefully.

Function and application - I think this would be great when used as shown for weeds between bricks etc, especially in combination with a good pressure washer. It can be a bit unruly though when it catches on an edge of something or deep soil so it takes a lot of precision and care to not let it get away from you. Something less than ideal if using only this, is that everywhere I cleaned weeds, it restored the concrete to nearly new look. The reason that is a problem, is that this was only along the edges where I had overgrowth that it made so clean looking. It would have been too much to try to go over all the rest of the concrete enough to make it match. I think maybe if you already have like-new concrete/brick/etc, or use this in conjunction with a pressure washer to renew the looks of rest of the concrete this could do a nice job. Especially if you go over everything with a pressure washer first to loosen up soil and roots, then finish off the weeds or unwanted grass with this.Fitment and power requirements - This product indicates that it is for 1.5 HP or higher weed trimmers. I do not know of any non-commercial trimmers with over 1HP, so this requires a rather expensive trimmer, or else you risk constantly stalling out and/or possible premature failure of your clutch. I like how specific they are about what this will fit and don't falsely claim that it is universal. Although I knew I didn't have anything that the supplied mounting hardware works properly with, I knew I could make this work because I already had a universal kit on my trimmer from a brush cutter disc that uses the same diameter hole. Be advised I was not using my Ryobi trimmer attachment and I can't say if there is any kit out there that would adapt that to this. My 40V Ryobi trimmer supplied plenty of torque but it was extremely taxing on my battery life with this attachment. It also slung little rocks very hard and far so be careful when around vehicle, windows, etc.

I was so looking forward to using these wheels to clean out the weeds growing in my driveway, but alas, was unable to attach to my Maruyama B420. The center hole in the disks was the correct diameter (1 inch) but the disks of both blades are more than twice as thick as my bush blade so my spindle wouldn't fit, and the included adapters were not useful. Maruyama is compatible with Shindaiwa, Echo, and Husqvarna blades, so it's not a special case.Disappointing.UPDATE: Okay, so I'm not as smart as I'd like to think, I finally figured out how to adapt this wire wheel to fit my trimmer, and it worked okay, but it was so heavy that the 8-inch wheel wouldn't get up to speed, and the 6-inch wheel wore out pretty quickly while scrubbing grass from joints in cement driveway. I upped the rating 1 star because it works, but wears out fast so it's not very cost-effective.

These heads fit onto my heavy-duty weed trimmer. They work for me, and allow me to trim some areas that are harder with the regular weedeater cord. They seem to be tough, and I haven't had any issues with them at this time.

Had some weeds and grass cover my walkway and sides of driveway and have been looking to test out some similar brush wheels like this with my stihl gas powered weedeater. Took a little while to figure out exactly how to attach this to my weed eater, but once I did it wasn't too bad. It worked very well and held up on the first few uses pretty good considering it was hitting concrete quite a bit. Worked great on some stubborn large weeds in my ditch also. Overall good product.
