Grab a metal file to dull the (very very sharp) ends, and use some pliers to shape these so the hooks are smaller (like you need for springs!). These are are bendable but firm enough that they'll work well for springs. But you'll need to buy something different if you really want to *push* the springs anywhere.The thing is, spring hooks are pricey. As spring hooks, these are a good deal. I have a couple strong spring hooks for the delicate work, and I use these for the less precise stuff.

For three pick tools this is a good value. All three are exactly the same and are the equivalent of dentist picks. I would say they are good for light weight springs. I ordered these to keep in my tool bag for my paint sprayer. These are perfect for that . Good fit and finish and they come with tip protectors.For 10 bucks good grab.

Every workbench needs one of these. I use them for removing O-rings, scraping out dirt from crevices, installing and removing springs and positioning small parts. They are very sharp and curved in a way that reaches into tight places. The description states they are made of spring stainless steel. I don't know the exact content but the steel is very magnetic and is not the quality of dental tools that I have used in the past. Overall they are lower quality stainless steel , very handy and only cost three dollars each. I would order them gain.
