My chains are now useful because they have ends on them that I can hook onto things and pull them with.

Nicely cast, heavy duty 5/16 clevis grab hooks. I'm currently using these on my transport trailer, to secure chains in place. The snap-hook version is a nice touch, as it gives you the added confidence of not falling off while you're in the setup/tensioning process. The alloy forged steel assures corrosion resistance and the strength rating is far sufficient for my needs. Recommended.

I got this to replace the hook on my trailer's winch, which did not have a safety latch on it and was getting a little rusty. This wasn't much more than just getting one, and now I have spares. We'll see how long the plating holds up, but I'm sure it will be a few years before I need to worry about rust again.

Bought the 5/16 chain and hooks from Lowe's and noticed a couple of differences. When it comes to chains, I mainly rely on the grab hook to secure loads. I noticed that the Lowe's hook and cotter pin bolt is a pinch thicker than Henbow's. I did like the fact that you could actually attach the grab hook to a link in the middle of the chain. Other than those 2 differences, I'm sure they perform the same. If you don't see the word "Edit" in my review, that means I haven't run into any issues with the performance of the product. As for the slip hook, the spring is nice and strong.

They're just clevis hooks like any other. 5/16 is a pretty common size for these and works with a lot of chains you'll encounter when securing loads. They're durable, high quality and their gold zinc finish gives them a nice look. The springs on the safety clips are nice and strong. Do yourself a favor and grab some R-type cotter pins (pictured) to replace the crummy ones they include. It makes switching the hooks out way faster, and you're a lot less likely to stab yourself with the sharp ends. It would be really nice if they just put the better kind on there to begin with, but I've not seen any other brands that do so it's hard to fault them too much.

I have a bunch of 5/16 chain wit no ends on them. These hooks fit the 5/16 chain well and are very heavy duty. The clevis and pins fit the chain perfectly and lock in place with the included cotter pins. The grab hooks grips the chain securely and holds well. The slip hooks fit around the chain and allow the chain to slid through the hook. The latch on the slip hook is built better than most of the ones I have used. These hooks are similar quality to the ones at the import hardware store. The price is competitive with other hooks on the internet and slightly cheaper than the local hardware store. I would buy them again.

This has 2 each of 2 different types of hooks. Works great. Not a lot to say other than we had purchased a 20 foot chain thinking it had hooks on it and discovered it didn't only after we got it home. Now it does.

I use these hooks along with my chain to pull out tree stumps. They make the job much easier than relying on just my chain. The clevis hooks can be used on my utility trailer chains. Using these heavy duty hooks makes jobs safer.
